Safety First !

We chose our horses and ponies very carefully to ensure that they are suitable for use by riders of all skills and ability.  Your decision to ride is voluntary and we cannot be held responsible for accidents or injury.

  • Suitable footwear does include – stout shoes or boots with a small heel.  Wellington boots, again with a small heel, are also suitable for beginners.  Trainers are NOT allowed anywhere in the stables.

  • Appropriate clothing includes gloves, waterproof short jackets, loose fitting jeans (with tights underneath to help) or track suit trousers.

  • Please do not wear long scarves, earrings or any dangling jewellery or rings with stones.  Hair should be tied back or secured in plaits or in a hair net.

  • ALWAYS listen carefully to your instructor and instructions given by Riding School staff, and if you are unsure, always seek clarification.

  • Feeding treats to our Horses and Ponies is not permitted.

  • Never walk behind a Horse or Pony

All our staff are trained in first aid, and any accidents or injuries (however small) must be recorded in the incident book.  Seek assistance from any member of staff if you have any problems.
