Who writes this

My name is Marianne Ellwood. I have kept horses on the edge of the Fens for eleven years, first on DIY livery and now on part, and I ride most days that the ground allows it.

This is a personal journal rather than a business. I am not an instructor and nothing here is a substitute for proper teaching from a qualified one. Where something matters for safety I have said so plainly and pointed at the people whose job it is to set the standard.

Everything is written from my own experience of a particular sort of country: flat, wet in winter, wide open, and far better riding than people who have never done it assume.
